Established in August 2017, the new School of Public Health (SPH) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) aims to promote and enhance the quality of life in the Negev, Israel, and around the world. To do so, the School focuses on excellence in public health education, research, and service. The School educates and inspires Israel’s future public health leaders and healthcare professionals, infusing students with knowledge and deep understanding of public health issues and providing them with the best education possible. The School is dedicated to community engagement in the Negev, and students and researchers focus on health promotion and reducing health disparities.
