The Institute of Public Health (IPH), former School of Public Health in Krakow is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Medical College of the Jagiellonian University, the oldest university in Poland and one of the oldest worldwide.

Established in 1991, to tackle urgent educational and research needs and prepare the public health workforce for Poland, IPH has evolved to the ?state of the art? institution in the area of public health.

We are structured around departments focusing on Environmental Health; Epidemiology and Population Studies; Health Policy and Management; Health Promotion and e-Health; Nutrition and Drug Research; Health Economics and Social Security.

Our research is geared towards practical developments in the field of health care with our researchers serving as both domestic and international experts.

We offer undergraduate, master-level and postgraduate courses, as well as the specialist training in Public Health. We are proud of our international cooperation, including collaborations across Europe, to ensure the provision of excellent education and training of public health professionals for both practice and research.
