PROFESSOR KASIA CZABANOWSKA ASSUMES ASPHER PRESIDENCY 2017-19

On May 31st, 2017 Professor Kasia Czabanowska (Maastricht University) became the 27th ASPHER President, succeeding Professor Jacqueline Müller-Nordhorn (Berlin School of Public Health-Charité).

During the presidency handover ceremony held at EHESP in Rennes, France Professor Czabanowska pledged to focus her presidency on the further development and professionalisation of the public health workforce and on strengthening evidence-based public health training and education. She emphasised the need to make a collaborative effort that builds a performance-enhancing culture, with the transversal guiding principles of accountability and transparency towards ASPHER members, stakeholders, and public health professionals.
