The Institute of Public Health, Jagiellonian University Medical College is organising a webinar on 7 June from 17:00 to 18:15 (CEST) on the topic of 'Dimensions of the Impact of Health Literacy'.
In this webinar on health literacy, the speakers will discuss the importance of health literacy in shaping positive lifestyles, its relation to participation in social networks and well-being, as well as its potential to protect against the negationism spreading in major public health challenges. It is worth noting that as a result of the growing interest in health competencies, there are various derived concepts referring to selected aspects of health behaviors and attitudes, such as nutritional competencies or public health competencies. The latter are an important element of the participation of societies in shaping a social environment conducive to favourable health decisions. During the webinar, the aspect of shaping health competences from the perspective of national and institutional policies will also be presented.
