Applications open: University of Porto PhD program in Public Health

We are pleased to announce that the application period for the PhD Program in Public Health at the University of Porto is now open. 

The programme aims to contribute to the development of specific skills and advanced training in research, which will allow students to think critically and strategically about public health, and autonomously be able to assess and solve problems related to population health.

The PhD is designed for students and professionals from fields such as Medicine, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and other related disciplines. The program, coordinated by the Faculty of Medicine, lasts six semesters and totals 180 ECTS credits, with access to qualified faculty and research structures, including the Epidemiology Research Unit at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (EPIUnit) and the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR).

 

Key application dates are as follows:

1st Phase Application Deadline: April 4th (submit application here).

2nd Phase Application Period: June 2nd to July 7th.
