REFLECTING ON THE ROLE OF SCHOOLS OF PUBLIC HEALTH
7 Apr 2016

AN ACCOUNT FOR BRUSSELS-BASED STAKEHOLDERS

07 April 2016, 09:15 – 12:30 (followed by lunch)
ASPHER, UM Campus Brussels, Avenue de l’Armée 10, 1040 Brussels

The Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPHER) is 50 years old! Let’s celebrate, reflect on the past, and envision the brightest future possible! ASPHER has an appealing history and, in its golden anniversary year, it is making an appeal to the European world of politics. It is a time of crises in Europe when public health is more important than ever. Investing in public health education and training could yield huge benefits! Schools of Public Health make a difference!

The event will feature an inspiring talk by one of ASPHER's past presidents, Jeffrey Levett, from the NSPH in Athens, the 2016 host of the annual ASPHER Deans’ & Directors' Retreat. There will be 4 pitch presentations delving into the relevance of ASPHER's current strategic agenda, ASPHER 2020, to the Brussels arena. The format will be highly interactive, with each presentation being followed by reflections from a panel representing key stakeholders, and further involving the audience. This will be a wonderful opportunity for networking and getting acquainted with ASPHER.
