Dear ASPHER Members,
We hope you are all doing well, and eagerly awaiting the annual Deans’ and Directors’ Retreat to be held in Athens, 25-27 May. If you have not done so yet, please register for the event: http://aspher.org/forms/quest19/. As always, this promises to be a great event uniting the whole Association, but even more so this year, as we will be celebrating ASPHER’s 50th anniversary! Don’t miss it, and register quickly as hotels are filling up quickly.
Please note that over the course of the coming two weeks, we will initiate the membership consultation regarding membership policy, including the fee and benefit scheme. It is imperative that every member participates because we will be using the outcomes of the survey to re-structure the Association’s key policies.
April promises to be an exciting month due to the kickoff of the event series in Brussels commemorating ASPHER’s anniversary. We will start on April 6th with a number of working meetings to discuss the Association's work in the area of public health workforce development and professionalisation. The following day, April 7th, the ASPHER office in Brussels will open its doors to everyone, and there will be numerous exciting activities including a panel on the role of schools of public health relevant to Brussels-based stakeholders, with many wonderful guests attending. We hope you will attend some or all of these events, especially the open house (RSVP).
Lastly, please submit your nominations for the next ASPHER presidency by Monday 25 April. The next president will be elected at the next General Assembly in Athens to lead the Association towards successful completion of the ASPHER 2020 agenda.
